
The Oresund Region offers a wide and unique variety of shopping options, from malls to boutiques, classic crafts to international designer merchandise.

Shop for antiques, furniture, textiles, crystal and other glassware, porcelain, silver, jewelry, stainless-steel flatware, furs, cheese, amber and sweaters.
Few cities can match the Danish capital for shopping inspiration per square meter. The city center, though not of the scale of London or Paris, is nevertheless full of independent retailers and small, exclusive boutiques as well as several big department stores.
What it lacks in size, Copenhagen's shopping district makes up for in diversity and quality. Copenhagen's, and Denmark’s, premier shopping area is centered on Europe's longest pedestrian shopping street, Strøget, and surrounding streets.

Outside ordinary shopping hours, various kiosks around town are open. In addition, shops at the Central Station (Hovedbanegården) are open until late in the evening as well as on Sundays.

All cities in Southern Sweden offer excellent shopping opportunities, especially in clothing, shoes and glassware. Malmö, Lund, Helsingborg, Ängelholm, Kristianstad and Ystad all have outlets for international labels as well as Swedish design.
Swedish design is known all over the world. The familiar furnishings at IKEA warehouses are inspired by generations of design in wood and textiles. A wide range of Swedish manufacturers have factory outlets in the Oresund Region, offering discount deals.
Most proprietors are happy to give visitors a guided tour and some offer free shipping.

Weekdays shops are usually open from 9am to 6pm
Saturdays 9am to 1pm.
Department stores and supermarkets stay open longer, and are open all days of the week. On days before public holidays, all stores close early.
