The Danish and Swedish road systems are extremely well organized in the Scandinavian manner. Visitors should have no problems getting around by car.
Parking is generally free in Denmark and Sweden. In downtown city areas various forms of parking fees are charged. In central Copenhagen, the fee is generally around DKK 10-20 per hour. I suggest we have all prices in Euro (or mention Euro equivalent in brackets) NB
For shoots, make special parking arrangements with the local authorities. Contact the Oresund Film Commission for details.
Parking in Copenhagen
To balance the city's growing traffic, parking zones have been introduced in parts of the city. The zone system can be difficult to understand, even for the Danes, so here is a brief summery of the rules:
Different parking zones
In the city center you must pay to park. In the boroughs of Østerbro, Vesterbro and Nørrebro and outside the city center, parking is free for up to two hours. There is no time limit nights and on weekends.
The city centre is divided into 3 zones: red, green and blue. Each has its own price. The farther away from the city center you park, the cheaper it is. Tickets are purchased at coin-operated parking meters at the parking areas. Place your stub in the windshield
Available parking display sign
Signs at major access roads to the city display the number of parking spaces available in affiliated parking garages.

Sweden
Should your production require additional or designated parking spaces, or in case you need to park your vehicles in a restricted parking area, you can obtain a parking permit from Gatukontoret (The Traffic Management Office).
